元稹以往被关注的主要是其诗人的一面,而作为中唐古文运动的倡导者和创作者方面一直被忽视。其古朴自然的文章理论和制诰等散文创作,给当时的文坛带来清新的气息和极大的影响,使朝廷的应用文字由华而不实变为雅正实用,对中唐民间文风的改变及古文运动的健康发展起着引领和促进作用。陈寅恪先生称元稹为古文运动之健者。后世对其在古典散文方面的作用研究较少,往往忽视他对中唐古文运动的贡献。
Yuan 稹 was mainly concerned with his poet’s side in the past, but has been neglected as an advocate and creator of the Middle-East Prose movement. His quaint and natural essay theory and his essay creation brought a fresh atmosphere and great influence to the literary world at that time, making the application of the court changed from flashy to elegant and practical. The changes of folk style and the movement of ancient prose in the middle of Tang Dynasty The healthy development plays a leading and promoting role. Mr. Chen Yinke said Yuan Zhen is a healthy movement of ancient prosecution. Later generations have less research on their role in classical prose, and often neglect his contribution to the classical prose in the middle of Tang Dynasty.
