曾出品《汽车总动员》和《料理鼠王》等著名动画片的皮克斯公司今年又会给我们带来什么呢？
公元2700年，地球堆满垃圾，人类被迫移居太空，并派了一批机器人WALL·E（Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class的缩写，即“地球废品分装员”）在地球清理垃圾，等待某天重返地球。然而这些机器人不适应地球的环境，陆续坏掉，最后只剩下一个还在日复一日地按照程序收拾废品。对于他来说，捡垃圾就是他存在的意义。但很快他就会发现其存在的真正意义……

EVE comes to realize that WALL·E has inadvertently[不注意地] stumbled upon[偶然发现] the key to the planet’s future, and races back to space to report her findings to the humans (who have been eagerly awaiting

Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo) conceived[构思] WALL·E before Toy Story was made. The idea was, “What if mankind evacuated[撤出] Earth and forgot to turn off the last remaining
robot?” In his vision of the future, “WALL·E is the only one still truly living. And what is the ultimate[最终的] purpose of
living? To love. And WALL·E falls head over heels[完全地]
with a robot named EVE. Now, WALL·E’s feelings aren’t
reciprocated[报答] because, she has no feelings. She’s a robot, cold and clinical[冷静的]. WALL·E is the one who has evolved over time and garnered[储存] feelings. So in the end, it’s gonna be WALL·E’s pursuit to win EVE’s heart, and his unique appreciation of life to become mankind’s last hope to rediscover its roots. In short, it’s going to take a robot’s love to help make the world go round.”
几百年来，WALL·E日复一日孤独地执行任务。在遇见另一个机器人伊夫（夏娃）之后，他发现了生命的全新意义。伊夫发现WALL·E无意间触及关乎这颗星球未来的关键，于是急忙赶回太空向人类报告（人类对可以安全回家的消息盼望已久）。同时，WALL·E不辞劳苦地跨越星系，紧追伊夫……
导演安德鲁·斯坦顿谈论《星际总动员》
安德鲁·斯坦顿（曾执导《海底总动员》）早在《玩具总动员》之前就已经开始酝酿《星际总动员》的故事。其构思是：“假如人类撤离地球，却忘记关闭最后一个仅存的机器人，事情会怎么样呢？”在斯坦顿对未来的构想中，“WALL·E是唯一仅存的、还真正活着的生命。而活着的最终目的是什么呢？活着是为了去爱。WALL·E疯狂地爱上了一个叫伊夫的机器人。然而WALL·E的爱得不到回报，因为 ‘她’没有感觉。她只是一个机器人，冰冷又无动于衷。而WALL·E经过长久进化，成了能够产生感觉的机器人。因此最后结局是WALL·E的追求赢得了伊夫的心，而他对于生命的独特理解也成为了人类寻根的最后一丝希望。简而言之，是机器人的爱让世界继续下去。”
