目前有几家制造商生产的适用于夜间飞行的头盔显示器(HMD),也同样适用于白天飞行。一般来说,白天和夜间飞行对头盔显示器具有不同的属性要求。白天飞行要求HMD是单目的,视界在25°范围内,只有符号,重量很轻(3—3.5 16S),具有高真实世界传输和高显示亮度。夜间飞行使用的HMD必须是双目的,视界大于40°,要求向前看红外显示,符号表示重叠,综合夜视,重量轻(最大4.5 16S),并且具有缩减的真实世界传输和低亮度显示。但是,许多使命情景要求HMD在执行单个使命过程中既要用于白天也要用于夜间,因此就要求HMD具有昼夜能力。本文对采用现代化技术、用于固定翼和旋转翼飞机的昼夜HMD的设计方法进行了论述。
