众所周知,舞蹈作为一门独立的艺术,在自身漫长的锻造和发展过程中,已确立了卓然不群的历史地位,同时也形成和完善着自己的功能体系——认识功能,审美功能,教育功能。这几大功能的体现,就是舞蹈艺术。以认识功能的真、审美功能的美、教育功能的善,这三者的协和统一而作用于人和社会的。以此而说,少儿舞蹈作为参与素质教育的一个艺术项目,也毫不例外地运动发展在这个功能圈中。我们怎样看待少儿舞蹈的社会功能,
