运用文献资料、历史比较、逻辑分析等研究方法,从历史学、文化学、哲学、美学、体育学以及武术学的视角对武术套路与技击实战、武术套路与舞蹈、武术套路与体育学、武术学者对武术(武术套路)身份的看法等4个方面的分析,可以看出武术套路既有技击实用的一面,又有艺术表演的一面,与舞蹈、体育都有很多相同之处,但又有其独特性,就是这样一种“复合文化形态”、一种“有意味的形式”。作为一种程式规范,武术套路更多体现的是一种通达目标的带有理想色彩的操作路径与价值形态。可以说武术套路并不是某种单一的身份确证,在长期的历史发展过程中,涵容与积淀了多种文化营养成分。武术套路是以中国传统文化理论为基础,具有多维价值功能的势势相承的“身体技艺”。
