本期“文化广场”栏内发表了两篇文章,一篇是著名作家刘心武为本刊写的专稿——《山水尚有相逢日》,一篇是北京故宫专业人员王时伟写的《台北故宫参访印象记》,都是两岸文化交流热潮的生动写照.刘心武先生写的是年初与大陆其他四位作家一起去台北参加“两岸三边华文小说研讨会”的情景.“山水尚有相逢日,书生岂无切磋时?”——作者慨叹,发自肺腑.可曾几何时,两岸对峙,山水难逢,书生们只能隔岸唱和.又曾几何时,只见彼岸书生往来大陆无绝期,此岸同仁踏足宝岛无可期;彼岸作品争相在大陆出版,而大陆书籍只能在岛内地下流传……而今,不仅岛内书生来大陆朝发而夕至,大陆文人去台湾,也渐如山阴道上.单为研讨中国文学,岛内两大报系争相邀大陆作家往访;仅一个刘心武,中时副刊、联合副刊、幼狮文艺出版事业有限公司相继在台推出他的作品.刘心武先生从中看到的是“台湾同胞对大陆这边的事包括文学越来越浓烈的兴趣”.
