台湾大型史诗电影《赛德克·巴莱》中赛德克族群记忆的断裂和身份认同的危机给我们提供了一个重要的文化警示:在全球化背景下,作为外来的“他者”怎样客观地看待异质文化,地方本土文化在面对现代化困境时如何突围等问题。魏德胜在其执导的《赛德克·巴莱》电影文本给我们提供了对待地方文化困境的独特思路:在全球化背景下,外来者只有秉持“文化相对主义”原则看待异质文化,以及本土文化主体在自觉传承自身文化的基础上积极地与现代化进行对话和交流,摒弃民族主义的仇恨心理,才能有望实现地方传统文化困境的突围与发展。
