中药的命名,都是有一定含义的。深入探求药物的正名、异名的含义,对中药品种考证是很有价值的。考证明代以前的中药品种,李时珍《本草纲目》是必读之书。《本草纲目》中“释名”与“集解”两项对中药品种考证关系最为密切,而且内容都很丰富。为此,本文仅就其中“释名”一项,论述它对品种考证的重要意义。李时珍药物的命名及释名十分审慎,《本草纲目》凡例说。“药有数名,今古不同,但标正名为纲,余皆附于释名之下,正始也。仍注各本草名目,纪原也。”又说:“诸
