Helen: Hey Andy, have you got a moment?
Andy: Sure, I can manage a few minutes. What’s up?
Helen: ①Well I just wanted to give these interview results a once over with you.
Andy: Okay, let’s see, who have we got?
Helen: There’s two we’re looking at right now: Tina Chi, and ②she scored well across the board.
Andy: That’s right. Her 1)psychometric scores were a little higher than her aptitude scores though.
Helen: But ③her aptitude scores were still on par with our requirements.
Andy: Alright, let’s call her in for a second round then.
Helen: Great. Second is Erik Georgeson. Not looking so promising though.
Andy: No? Wasn’t he the recent Cal-Tech grad? ④I was under the impression that he was the cream of the crop.
Helen: Well, first impressions can be deceiving. He did extremely well on the aptitude tests, but his psychometric scores were
  2)atrocious—⑤and that’s putting it lightly.
Andy: You’re kidding me. ⑥I felt he really clicked with the team when we met. I can’t believe he’d do so poorly.
Helen: It is strange, isn’t it? And he even came with a letter of recommendation from an 3)internship he’d done with Google.
Andy: Something seems a bit fishy. The guys over at Google are usually pretty bang on about their staff. Are we sure the test was accurate?
Helen: For what it is, yeah.
Andy: “For what it is?” What does that mean?
Helen: Don’t you remember this from training? There are heaps of factors that can contribute to a poor score—health, tiredness, unfamiliarity. If he’s never done one before it could account for his 4)dismal score.
Andy: Then what are we even doing giving this test?
Helen: Most of the time it’s pretty accurate. The
5)higher-ups seem to think that’s good enough.
Andy: Well let’s get him back in here; we can’t let someone like him slip through our fingers. At least get him to retest.
Helen: Okay,⑦ I’ll get him on the line asap.I’ll touch base with you after.
  Andy: Sounds good. See you!
