204万年以来,我们的祖先巫山人、建始人、陨县人、长阳人、奉节人等就先后在三峡地区沿江两岸定居和生息繁衍,世世代代的三峡人从此与江河结下不解之缘。在与大自然的抗争中,正是三峡人发明和创造了筏与独木舟,人类才开始了长江上最原始的航行,写下三峡航运最初的华章。自古以来,三峡的历史与舟楫的历史水乳交融。这一地区政治、经济、军事、文化和社会的发展,无不与其水系中舟楫的创造、利用和航运的发展息息相关。从某种意义上说,三峡就是一个古今舟楫的博物馆,其中不乏深刻的历史和传统价值,更有着深蕴的文化内涵。
For 204 million years, our ancestors, Wushan, Jianshi, Meteorite, Changyang, Fengjie and others have settled and lived along the banks of the Three Gorges area. The Three Gorges of people from generation to generation have been struggling with rivers since then edge.
