100 patients with type 2 diabetes who needed insulin treatment were randomly divided into two groups: observation group (50 cases) and control group (50 cases). The control group used traditional methods of education, and the observation group used the Insulin Use Interview Kit for education. Results: The patients in observation group were significantly more likely to receive insulin therapy than those in control group (P <0.01). CONCLUSIONS: The use of the “Insulin Use Interview Toolkit” for education provided a new and effective model for ward health education, improved patient compliance and increased nurse-patient relationship.
