居住建筑面积由于所占比重大,对于建筑节能和环境改善意义重大。夏热冬冷地区夏季高温高湿、冬季湿冷,居住建筑需要同时处理夏季防热和冬季保暖这一对矛盾,相对严寒、寒冷和夏热冬暖地区单一、明确的任务而言,技术上十分困难,是建筑设计的难点。为掌握解该地区城乡居住建筑夏季热环境的实际状况,在苏州市选择了具有代表性的2种乡村建筑(单层和两层)和一种城市住宅建筑(高层),采用实地现场测试的方法,对室内温湿度、壁面温度、气流速度等热环境指标进行了测试,经过数据统计分析,结果表明3类建筑在室内热环境营造方面均存在优缺点,提出了改善夏季热环境质量的设计建议。
