The goal of this retrospective study was to evaluate the prognostic value of these two systems.Patients with GEPNENs (n=103) treated at the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University, between January 2003 and December 2011, were enrolled in the study.Diagnoses were confirmed pathologically and all patients completed follow up evaluations.Univariate and multivariate analyses of clinicopathologic characteristics were performed to evaluate their effect on treatment outcome.The overall 1-year, 3-year and 5-year survival rate for patients with GEP-NENs was 84％, 70％ and 63％, respectively.The individual five-year survival rates were 95％,74％, 24％, and 15％ for AJCC/UICC stages I to IV, respectively, and 92％, 62％, and 29％ for WHO-2010 grades 1 to 3, respectively.
