  Ecological footprint method is an important tool to quantitatively evaluate the sustainable development of regions.This study adds new two ecological footprint account and water resources land type,adopts the improved ecological footprint model to assess the ecological footprint and ecological carrying capacity status of Xiamen City from 2009 to 2014,and summarizes the key factors influencing the Xiamen City sustainable development,in order to provide a theoretical basis for Xiamen City ecological construction work.
