Thirty-four species of the genus Artemisia are found in Iran,of which two are endemic:A.mlanolepis and A.kermanensis1.The oil of the aerial parts (leaves+steam+petal) ofArtemisia lehmaniana contained 41 compounds with a yield of 1.85%(w/w),representing 97.95% of the total oil.Major components were identified in the aerial parts oil were Trans-pinocarveol(9.91%),Camphor(7.36%),Caryophyllene oxide(6.95%) and 3-Caryophyllene(6.69%).28 compounds were identified in the volatiles from the leaves of A.lehmaniana comprising 95.88% of the total oil in 0.1%(w/w) yield.
