High temperature microwave heating features an external field activated processing that can provide highly efficient volumetric heating,enhanced reaction and sintering kinetics,and controllable temperature distribution advantaging over conventional heating processes.In this talk,following by a brief introduction on the principle of microwave heating,some recent advancement on microwave featuring applications in materials synthesis and processing will be addressed,including microwave sintering of ceramics,powdered metals and composites; microwave separation heating,and microwave fabrication of wide band gap semiconductor crystal materials.
