Electrochemical energy conversion devices ranging from fuel cells to metal-air batteries demand effective electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER)[1].In particular,it is difficult to get both acceptable OER and ORR activities with the same material[2].Therefore,it is still a big challenge to develop low-cost bifunctional electrocatalysts which can efficiently catalyze both ORR and OER.In this research, multipod Pd2CoAg nanocrystals(NCs)have been synthesized at gram-scale via a simple solid-liquid phase reaction route, which exhibit excellent electrocatalytic performance for ORR and OER in alkaline media, even better than the performance of the commercial Pt/C catalyst.
