The COP9 signalosome(CSN)complex is involved in many aspects of plant life,including photomorphogenesis,hormone response and development of lateral organs.Null mutations in any of the eight subunits lead to the loss of a full size complex.csn mutants are seedling lethal,with a characteristic fusca phenotype(anthocyanin accumulation,small cotyledons,short roots).
