  The ordinary approach to calibrate a watershed simulation model is to minimize the differences between the simulation outputs against temporal observation data (hard data). However, it has been shown that watershed calibration without considering soft data (non-temporal, summarized output such as denitrification rate) could lead to substantially biased model predictions.
