Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture prophylactic therapy in patients with migraine without aura.Method A multicentre randomized controlled trial was conducted to compare the efficacy and safety of three different acupuncture plus Naproxen groups (Group1-3) versus Naproxen group (Group4).There were 3 different acupuncture groups,one recieved electro-acupuncture at head acupoints following WHO Acupuncture Line (Group1),one group recieved electro-acupuncture at distant-adjacent points (Group2),the third group recieved electro-acupuncture but not at acupoints (Group3).
